The 2019 Wordsworth Winter School

"Wordsworth's Poetical Heirs (Continued)"
The Wordsworth Winter School devotes four full days (five nights) to immersion in the poetry of Wordsworth and his contemporaries. There are two lectures, a seminar and a poetry reading on each of the main days. Afternoons are devoted to a special event, a walk or an excursions, Most events are at Rydal Hall. We do not accept residential bookings for less than the full period.
The 2013 Winter School looked at the significance of Wordsworth to other Romantics, some Victorians, and early Modernists. Continuing this theme, speakers at the 2019 event are likely to consider such 20th Century poets as Thomas Hardy, Edward Thomas, Wallace Stevens, Philip Larkin, and Seamus Heaney.

Non-Resident Attendance:
All non-residential attendance must be pre-booked.
£360 with four lunches, five dinners & refreshments (£260 without dinners). Daily Attendance: £65 with lunch & refreshments, or £85 with lunch, dinner & refreshments.
Some residential places are reserved for bona fide unwaged students for £360 inclusive of the fee
